Built for consistency.
SpotCheck Cleaning was started by two friends who met at Stanford University. After reconnecting following graduation, they found they had arrived at the same conclusion from separate experiences: hiring a cleaning service was easy, but getting consistent results was not.
Between them they had worked with a number of providers, and the pattern was familiar. Thoroughness varied from one visit to the next. Arrival times shifted with little notice. Requests for gentler or fragrance-conscious products were often met with a narrow set of options, or none at all.
None of these were unusual complaints, and that was the point. The issue was rarely individual effort. It was the absence of structure — no agreed checklist, no documented scope, and no clear point of accountability when something was missed.
SpotCheck Cleaning was built to address those gaps directly. Every job runs on a written checklist drawn from an approved scope. Clients receive a clear service window and notice of any change. Product preferences are discussed before service rather than after. And questions go to the company, not to an anonymous contractor.
The company is founder-operated. At this stage the founders perform the work themselves, which means clients deal directly with the people accountable for the result.
